And what is good, Phaedrus, and what is not good – Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?

  • WaPo: A Racist President

Telling four non-white members of Congress — American citizens all, three natural-born — to “go back” to the “countries” they “originally came from”? That’s racist to the core. It doesn’t matter what these representatives are for or against — and there’s plenty to criticize them for — it’s beyond the bounds of human decency. For anyone, not least a president.

A very good opinion piece in the Washington Post. Every Republican politician who is not speaking up is silently approving this behavior. And with their inaction, they are supporting racism and should be ashamed of being a citizen of the United States.

  • ATP: Dumbed Down, Locked Down

I have the same thought for the last couple of years, but I was never able to articulate it in a short and poignant way. In my opinion, Marco Arment's comment is exactly on-point. The shift to mobile and mobile design dumbs down interfaces and removes "power users" from the equation. Especially on the Mac!
